Ball Bearings

CHG manufactures large deep groove, angular contact and four-point contact ball bearings for rolling mills and heavy industrial machinery. Large-size projects typically start from 200 mm bore; exact dimensions, accuracy and load capability are confirmed by bearing design, drawing and operating conditions.

Why Choose CHG Large Size Ball Bearings

Large Diameter Manufacturing

CHG supports large-size ball bearing projects from bearing-number interchange and standard series to non-standard rings, mounting dimensions and internal designs evaluated from drawings.

Low Friction & Stable Rotation

Optimized raceway geometry, rolling-element quality and cage guidance help reduce friction, heat generation and vibration in continuous or intermittent rotary applications.

Load & Positioning Options

Deep groove, angular contact and four-point contact designs cover different combinations of radial load, axial load, speed, rigidity, bidirectional thrust capacity and axial positioning.

Selection & Engineering Support

CHG reviews load direction, speed, fits, shaft and housing rigidity, internal clearance or preload, lubrication, temperature and mounting method before selection.

Application

Thrust Bearings Application

01

Rolling Mill Auxiliary Rolls

For selected guide, deflector and auxiliary roll positions requiring low friction, stable rotation and combined-load support.

02

Coilers & Uncoilers

For reel, drum and mandrel arrangements requiring radial support, axial location and reliable operation under changing strip tension and reversing conditions.

03

Rolling Mill Gearboxes & Pinion Stands

For selected shafts where helical gearing, speed and arrangement geometry create combined radial and axial loads.

04

Large Electric Motors & Generators

For large rotors requiring low friction, controlled internal clearance, stable running accuracy and suitable support for thermal expansion.

05

Pumps, Compressors & Fans

For large industrial rotating equipment where speed, axial thrust, vibration, lubrication and shaft alignment determine the bearing arrangement.

06

Industrial Gearboxes & Transmissions

For high-torque drive systems requiring radial support, axial positioning and predictable stiffness under changing load direction.

07

Cranes & Material Handling Equipment

For drums, sheaves, gear units and auxiliary rotating positions subject to intermittent loads, shock and contamination.

08

Large Rotary Tables & Precision Equipment

For slow- or medium-speed rotary axes requiring axial positioning, compact structure and controlled runout; load and rigidity must be reviewed.

09

Roll System Solutions

CHG can review ball and roller bearing combinations, locating/non-locating strategy, fits, mating components and lubrication as part of the complete support system.

Custom by Position & Conditions

Send the machine type and bearing position together with radial/axial loads, load direction, speed, temperature, lubrication, alignment, shock, duty cycle and required service life.

Custom Materials & Configuration

GCr15, GCr15SiMn and G20Cr2Ni4A can be reviewed according to size and duty. Accuracy, clearance/preload, contact angle, cage, shields/seals and lubrication features can also be evaluated.

FAQs

Need Large Size Ball Bearings for Your Equipment?

What types of large size ball bearings does CHG offer?

This website category includes Deep Groove Ball Bearings, Angular Contact Ball Bearings and Four-Point Contact Ball Bearings. Availability is confirmed by bearing number, dimensions and operating conditions.

How do I choose between the three bearing types?

Choose deep groove bearings for mainly radial load, moderate bidirectional axial load and higher speed; angular contact bearings for combined loads, rigidity and controlled axial positioning; and four-point contact bearings for compact bidirectional axial-load arrangements.

Can four-point contact ball bearings carry radial load?

They can carry limited radial load, but are best used with predominantly axial loads. Significant simultaneous radial and axial loading can reduce load distribution quality, so the complete arrangement should be reviewed.

What size range is available?

Large-size projects typically start from 200 mm bore. The exact upper limit depends on bearing type, ring section, material, accuracy and duty; non-standard dimensions can be evaluated from drawings.

Can angular contact ball bearings carry axial load in both directions?

A single angular contact bearing mainly carries axial load in one direction. Duplex or matched arrangements can carry axial loads in both directions and provide the required rigidity or preload.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Please send the bearing number or ID / OD / width, bearing position, radial and axial loads, load direction, speed, temperature, lubrication, mounting arrangement, quantity and any available drawing.
