Tapered Rollers Overview
CHG tapered rollers feature a precision conical rolling surface for tapered roller bearings. The extensions of the roller and raceway generatrices converge on the bearing axis, supporting stable rolling under combined radial and single-direction axial loads. Precise control of large-end diameter Dw, length Lw, taper angle, spherical end radius SR, center recess, geometrical accuracy, surface finish and large-/small-end chamfers helps improve contact and load distribution. Custom production is available to drawing.

Design & Performance Features
- The conical rolling surface matches tapered raceways for combined radial and axial loads.
- The taper angle can be engineered for the bearing contact angle and required axial capacity.
- Key geometry including Dw, Lw, taper angle and SR can be precisely controlled for the bearing design.
- Center recesses, through holes and end chamfers can be configured for manufacturing, assembly and lubrication needs.
- Roundness, ovality, diameter variation between ends and surface finish can be controlled to drawing and inspection standards.
Selection & Quality-Control Notes
Specify Dw, Lw, taper angle, SR, center recess, through hole and large-/small-end chamfers.
Diameter and length tolerances, roundness, ovality, diameter variation and roughness should be selected according to load, speed, service life and bearing accuracy.
For custom tapered rollers, provide a complete drawing, material, heat treatment, inspection standard and order quantity.
Typical Applications
Tapered roller bearings and large heavy-duty bearings
Mining, engineering-machinery and heavy-vehicle bearings
Metallurgy, rolling-mill and industrial-gearbox bearings
Wind power, rail and high-load transmission bearings
Model & Specification Information
A tapered roller is commonly designated by Dw × Lw, together with taper angle, SR, center recess, through hole, dimensional and geometrical accuracy, surface finish and large-/small-end chamfers.
