Double Row Cylindrical Roller Bearings Overview

Double row cylindrical roller bearings are available with cylindrical or tapered bores. Their compact construction, high rigidity, high radial load capacity and low deformation under load make them especially suitable for precision machine-tool spindle supports and heavy-duty industrial equipment.

NN designs use an inner ring with guide flanges and an outer ring without flanges; NNU designs use an outer ring with guide flanges and an inner ring without flanges. Both designs allow relative axial displacement between the shaft and housing and normally use machined solid cages.

High Radial Load Carrying Capacity

Two rows of cylindrical rollers provide a large effective contact area, enabling high radial load capacity while maintaining excellent stiffness and stable load distribution.

Non-Locating Design and Axial Displacement

The flange arrangement of NN and NNU bearings permits axial displacement within the bearing, allowing the bearing to compensate for shaft thermal expansion without introducing additional axial stress.
