Four-Row Cylindrical Roller Bearings Overview
Four-row cylindrical roller bearings combine a compact cross-section with very high stiffness and radial load capacity. They are developed primarily for roll-neck positions in rolling mills, where heavy radial loads, shock loads and limited mounting space are common.
These bearings carry radial load but are not designed to locate the shaft axially. Because the inner rings have no ribs, the inner rings and the outer-ring subassembly with rollers and cage can be mounted separately, simplifying roll installation and maintenance.
Maximum Radial Load Carrying Capacity
Four rows of cylindrical rollers create a large effective contact area and distribute load across the bearing width, providing exceptional radial load capacity and resistance to rolling-mill shock loads.
- Exceptional radial load capacity
- High stiffness
- Stable load distribution across four roller rows
- Compact structure for roll-neck mounting
Separable Mounting Design
Ribless inner rings allow the inner rings and the outer-ring, roller and cage assembly to be mounted separately. This arrangement improves installation efficiency and makes inspection and replacement easier in rolling-mill service.
- Separate mounting of inner and outer assemblies
- Convenient roll installation and removal
- Efficient maintenance in rolling-mill service
